Cue Inn 1 Secures Top Spot.

Hi All,

These are the stats. as at 6 October. Well done to the Cue Inn 1 team who have secured the top spot! Cue Inn 3 beat Mabis 5 on Tuesday 14-11 and they will move into second place therefore securing two home semi finals for The Cue Inn! Congrats.
The individual stats are below and a special congratulations to Dudley for ending up No.1 and only missing one single game the whole season. An excellent achievement! Congrats to Virginia who managed to end up in the top 16 and the top Lady in the league. Well done Virgin!!

A special mention to Cue Inn 5 who have made a terrific comeback in the second half of the season, moving right up from last to potentially ending 5th if they win their last game against Old Trafford. An excellent performance by them. A pity they started so badly as they could easily have been in the play offs'.

As soon as Yvette returns from Jhb. we will have a meeting and the play off dates will be announced as well as the draw and venues for the singles.

On Monday we had our Trivia evening and as usual it was a great success and professionally hosted by the two ladies from La Essence, Kelly and Elzanne. The biggest surprise on the night was that yours truly and my team of misfits managed to win after a sudden death round with our regular and often winning team of Don and his crew. Admittedly their star player was missing on the night, but who cares, we won!!LOL,

It was a great evening in the Beer Garden and with summer fast approaching I can only see our trivia evenings getting bigger and better.

The Pool Competition is in full swing and we have our first two finalists. Remember, only six more spots available, so get down to The Cue Inn on a Wednesday night and try to secure your spot in the final for those great prizes.

Karaoke tonight, Friday 13th!! So put on your dancing shoes and come and join us for a fun filled evening as we all know that we have a full house on our Karaoke evenings.

Hope to see you all there.

C U All Soon, and remember,
Be Cool, Play Pool.
Jay

On the lighter side:

Reaching the end of a job interview, the human resources person asked a young engineer fresh out of MIT what kind of a salary he was looking for.

"In the neighborhood of $140,000 a year, depending on the benefits package."

"Well, what would you say to a package of 5-weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, full medical and dental, company matching retirement fund to 50% of salary, and a company car leased every 2 years...say, a red Corvette?"

"Wow! Are you kidding?"

"Yeah, but you started it."
