Hi All,
These are the latest available stats as received from Yvette. As we all know there hasn't been much league activity as the second round has yet to get into full swing. The much awaited top of the table clash between Cue Inn 1 and Cue Inn 3 has been moved from Tues. 01 to Thurs. 03 August due to the momentous occasion of Mr. LLewelyns' 50th Birthday on the 1st!

Iterzone was played on Sunday and our 1st team deciced to put it all together for a change and handed both the Oostenberg and Drakenstein Swartland Zone teams a right thrashing!! Well done to all the players who participated. Our 2nd team also played well and won their first game convincingly before narrowly losing the second game. Well done to them as well. Unfortunately our 3rd team was forced to withdraw as everyone decided that they would go away for the weekend!!

Remember the pool competition on Wednesday and karaoke on Friday.

I will be laeving for Oudhtshoorn on Friday with the Boland ladies who are participating in the SA Ladies Pool Championships and will only return on Sunday 13 August. I am sure that all of you wish them all the best and feel very sorry for me going away with 20 women! Thanks once again to everyone who supported them by buying raffle tickets as well as to those members who made personal contributions.

Hi all,
Sorry its been so long since my last post, but been very busy! Firstly I would like to thank everyone who has so generously supported our two ladies who are going to the Ladies SA Pool Championships!! (Elzanne andWendy=>>>>>>>>
Your support is greatly appreciated and it was very gratifying to see how many loyal members and customers we have!

Once again last weeks karaoke was a great success and Gunther(Open Arms) made a guest appearence and sang for us! As usual I was forced to make a fool of myself to close the evening off, but I'm sure that by then everyone was in enough of a good mood to put up with myself and Roland trying to sing,lol!!

Our pool competitions are still going from strengh to strengh but I would still like to see more of our league players taking part. We can't let the likes of Neil Gavender walk in and win our competition guys!!

On the league front, Cue Inn 3 still tops the charts by 1 point over Cue Inn 1, but they still have to play each other. I think everyone is looking forward to that top of the table clash! Will post the latest logs and stats as soon as I receive them from Yvette.Remember that this Sunday,29th, is once again Inter-zone, so everyone who cannot play please let me know asap.

Lastly, I would like to welcome Elzanne who has eventually joined The Cue Inn staff and taken up a manegerial position. I am sure that this will be a popular decision with both the staff and all our customers and members.

The Wednesday Pool Competition's are going from strength to strength, but I would still like to see more of our league players there. Remember to promote the competition when playing away games guys & girls!

Karaoke on Friday was a great success and a fun time was had by all! Yours truly even sang a couple of times, Lol. The next Karaoke will be held on 21 July so remember to make a note on your social calenders!!

Hey hey, guess who won the Trivia last week! You guessed it, US!!! Once again the trivia was held in the beer garden and a great time was had by all. As usual, the ladies from La Essence, Kelly and Elzanne, put on a great show with some interesting questions and pictures etc. We had some new teams, but it looks as if the team from Jaws didn't like getting beat the previous time and were a no show! Ag Shame! Please remember that as from next month the Trivia will be held on the first Monday of every month.

I don't know if everyone knows, but Jackie will be leaving us shortly for greener pastures to take up a position in Dubai. I know that we all at The Cue Inn will miss her and her sparkling personality as well as her enthusiactic approach to her work, her customers and to life in general.We all wish her the very best and it was a pleasure having her at The Cue Inn. Bon Voyage Jackie, enjoy.

Just a quick update. Interzone is taking place again this Sunday 8th July. The 1st team is playing at Mabi's, the 3rd team at Blizzards in Durbanville and the 2nd team in Paarl. Any players not available must please let Abigail know as soon as possible 0827456494. Please everyone, we don't want a repeat of last time when only 2 people pitched for the 2nd team!(Ok, it was Fathers Day and we were notified very late, I know!!)

So, get yourselves motivated and lets kick some butt! Remember, you must play in at least 2 interzones for your stats to be considered for the open trials which will be coming up soon. Teams are the same as first round.

Hi All,
Just a few points before I get to the fixtures for the 2nd round.
This Wednesday, 5 July, we will have our monthly trivia for the last time on a Wednesday night. As from next month,(August), Trivia will be on the first Monday of every month. So please mark that on your calenders. Remember about the Karaoke this Friday, 7th, and then again on the 21st.

There will still be our normal weekly Pool Comp. on Wednesday 5th. This is the reason that trivia is moving to Mondays. Last weeks pool comp was won by Jean Geldenhuys, so I expect a much bigger turn out this week as our league will also have started. Ok, on to the fixtures. These will also be posted on the notice board at Cue Inn. I expect Cue Inn teams to really up their games this round and hopefully we can have at least three teams in the top 4 positions!
